The School of Kinesiology announces the availability a tenure-track position at the Assistant / Associate Professor level in Motor Behavior with a commitment to teaching excellence, scholarly productivity, and service. The appointments will be effective August 15, 2022.
Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Kinesiology or a related field, and possess a willingness to work with other faculty on collaborative projects. Candidates applying for the Associate Professor rank must have a minimum of three years of experience at the Assistant Professor rank and provide evidence of a productive scholarly record including an externally funded research program that will complement the current faculty members in motor behavior and broader School of Kinesiology. Candidates applying for the Assistant Professor rank must provide evidence of a scholarly record with potential to secure externally funded research that will complement current faculty members in motor behavior. Furthermore, the candidates must have an aptitude to teach undergraduate classes in motor learning, and/or motor development. The candidate is also expected to teach graduate courses related to their expertise. Additional responsibilities include mentoring graduate students and performing professional service to the university, community, and profession. Preference will be given to candidates with current external funding and/or post-doctoral experience with a research focus that is both unique and augments current faculty research.
Responsibilities: (1) Conduct scholarly research; (2) teach undergraduate and graduate classes; (3) advise graduate students; (4) direct theses and dissertations; (5) seek external support for scholarly activities aimed at building an externally funded research program; and (6) perform service to the school, college, university, and profession.
