The role of Associate Editor for Gait and Posture involves managing submissions through the review process. As an Associate Editor, you would be assigned manuscripts in your area of expertise via our Editorial Manager online submission system. You would be responsible for rejecting those manuscripts if they are out of scope or not up to the required standard; for manuscripts not rejected, you would be responsible for finding reviewers and assessing reviewer comments. You would occasionally be invited to join Editors’ and full Board meetings, either virtually or in person (if held at a conference you are attending anyway) to discuss the general strategic direction of the journal with other Associate Editors, the Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor and the Publisher. We are particularly looking for someone with an interest and experience in some of the following areas: musculoskeletal modelling, non-linear analysis, machine learning, robotics, imaging, and new technologies in the field of gait and/or posture.
If you would like to find out more about what the role involves, or wish to submit your CV and short statement in application for the role, please get in touch with our Publisher, Tanya Wheatley, at Elsevier:
