ISPGR World Congress 2023
The ISPGR World Congress brings together posture and gait researchers and clinicians from around the world for discussion and exchange of the most cutting edge knowledge, insights, issues and ideas. ISPGR holds biennial meetings around the world for basic and clinical scientists in order to:
Present and discuss the latest research and clinical findings relating to the control of posture and gait and related disorders
Facilitate interaction between members who meet from all corners of the globe
Promote the broad discipline of posture and gait research

JULY 9 – 13, Brisbane, Australia
The Congress will take place at the Brisbane Convention Centre, a world-class, purpose-built venue, located on the banks of the Brisbane River.
Following on from the inaugural hybrid Congress in Montreal in July, ISPGR is taking on board attendee feedback to trial a second hybrid event. This will allow people to present and attend all sessions either in-person in Brisbane, or virtually.
There’s a lot happening in Brisbane now. The city is an emerging economic powerhouse in the Asia Pacific region, with massive levels of investment giving rise to new developments including vibrant venues and hotels ranging from 3.5 to 6-star.
Brisbane is home to the “world’s best convention centre”, a flourishing dining and bar scene, and a year-round calendar of major events and cultural attractions drawing record numbers of business and leisure visitors. Recognised as Australia’s “most sustainable city”, Brisbane is clean, green and easily walkable. The city is becoming even more accessible for travellers, with new air routes opening up and construction underway on a $1.3 billion parallel runway that will see Brisbane Airport operate at the same capacity as Singapore and Hong Kong by 2020. As a magnet for talent and skills, Brisbane is home to world-renowned research centres and offers access to thought-leaders across key growth industries.
2023 Call for Submissions
Submissions open from October 3 – December 20, 2022.
Following on from the inaugural hybrid Congress in Montreal, ISPGR is taking on board attendee feedback to trial a second hybrid event, with increased access to scientific content. This will allow people to present and attend all sessions either in-person in Brisbane, or virtually. Therefore, ability or willingness to travel to Brisbane in July 2023 shouldn’t be a factor in your decision to submit to the congress. More information on the format will be available in due course.
